Nina G. Chordas (Archia - Balint) passed away on May 29, 2006 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. She was 74 years old. She leaves her beloved husband Michael "Misha" Chordas, and her much loved and precious children George Balint (Sharon)of Fresno, CA; Steve Balint (Terry)of Rollingsford, NH; Michael Balint(Cynthia)of Hazel Green, AL; Dan Balint of Seaside, CA; Nina Chordas of Juneau, AK; Helen Froissart of Seattle, WA; Ludmilla Nelson of Mt. Shasta, CA; Alexandra Chordas of Seattle, WA; Peter Chordas(Dina)of Portland, OR; her one and only sister (Yoyo) Helen Logvinov(Vadim)of Nashville, TN, numerous grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She was preceded in death by her infant son John Balint, and her loving mother Tatiana V. Prujan. Nina taught over 17 years as a Russian language teacher at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. It was there that she met her Misha. She will always be remembered for holidays and celebrations with a house full of friends, family and students, many that still corrspond years after they graduated. A celebration of her life was held at her Bonners Ferry, Idaho home, surrounded by her family prior to her passing. In lieu of flowers, Nina asked that a donation in her name be made to Russian Gift of Life, P.O. Box 403, Sea Cliff, New York 11579-0403.
